City Slowing Down?

The champions elect have only sneaked victory in each of their last 3 games against Feyenoord, Huddersfield and Southampton. West Ham's mission is to avoid embarrassment.

So Manchester City have won 12 Premier League matches in a row and now they’re at home to a side who just lost 4-0 to Everton. Of course everyone is predicting a bloodbath!

But we need to take a step back from the hype and realise that best odds of 33/20 (Coral) on City winning with under 3.5 goals in the match is actually a solid bet.

West Ham will head to the Etihad with the primary focus of avoiding humiliation. They won’t admit it but they would probably shake on a 2-0 maybe even a 3-0 defeat if offered it now.

Any side from the same division with such lowly ambitions could make life a little tricky even for Pep Guardiola.

City have only sneaked victory in their last 3 games. Late Sterling winners were needed for success against Feyenoord (1-0), Huddersfield (1-2) and Southampton (2-1).
