City Have A Score To Settle

The Champions League exit at the hands of Spurs will be the only painful memory for City fans of last season. Expect that to add some extra motivation for a great team, while Tottenham have lost 6 away league games on the trot.

It remains extraordinary that Tottenham somehow emerged victorious from a two-legged Champions League tie against Manchester City. It owed much to the most marginal of VAR decisions, a missed penalty by Aguero and the heroics of Son.

The Spurs’ favourite is missing for this one, along with Alli, and I can’t see anything but a 16th consecutive league victory for the hosts. City are 21/20 with Bet365 to win -1 goal in the handicap market and that is surely worth exploring.

The champions won 32 of 38 league matches last term with 23 of those victories coming by 2 goals or more. They beat all the rest of the ‘Big 6’ at the Etihad by a combined 15-3. City may feel like this is pay-back time and that’s dangerous for the Londoners.
