Chile Striker Can Warm Up Emirates

Arsenal's best player has struck a rich vein of form and it looks sustainable.

The man most likely to break the deadlock at the Emirates today must be Alexis Sanchez. Theo Walcott may be on a terrific run as well, but it’s the Chilean who looks the better bet in the long run.

Sanchez has sprung into life with four goals in two matches having followed his hat-trick at Leicester with a Champions League header.

We shouldn’t be surprised by this sudden explosion given that only Philippe Coutinho (5.8) averages more shots per game in the Premier League than Arsenal’s talisman (5.4).

The Gunner is the greatest threat of all though when you consider that more than half of Coutinho’s efforts come from outside the are and are therefore lower percentage.

Sanchez averages an impressive 3.8 shots per game from inside the box with a healthy 1.6 more attempts coming from further out. The 26-year-old looks like being a genuine contender for top scorer in the whole division if he keeps these statistics up.

For now we can focus on him being first goalscorer in this heavyweight clash at 5/1 with Ladbrokes who will refund a losing bet as a free bet simply if both teams score.
