Champions To Bounce Back

Klopp didn't let the Villa debacle derail the season and a Champions League setback should be seen in the same light.

It’s easy to get carried away by one result and yet again people are raises a few questions over Liverpool, just days after consensus said they had put down a marker against Leicester.

The Reds remain the team to beat, despite a lacklustre showing against Atalanta, and I’d want longer than 4/1 to back 16th placed Brighton here. Instead, I’ll happily take the comparably priced, but far more likely, Liverpool to win by 1 goal at best odds of 11/4 with Bet365.

This is not to trash the Seagulls, who will surely finish higher than their current position. But their home results (W0 D2 L2) suggest they miss their fans more than most. It will likely be close, maybe even tight between two teams who rank in the top three for fewest shots conceded.

But the champions are a cut above for shots attempted with a league high 17.4 per match. Brighton manage a steady 12.4, but the cutting edge provided by the likes of Salah and Jota can make the difference here.
