Champagne Charlie

QPR's form may have declined, but Charlie Austin remains the joint-highest scoring Englishman in the top flight.

The bookies make Arsenal nothing longer than 4/7 to win at Loftus Road on Saturday but not so long ago QPR were proving a force to be reckoned with, on their own patch at least.

Whether then can take points off the Gunners remains to be seen, but the Hoops do still boast one of the Premier League’s star strikers of the season. Charlie Austin has found the net 14 times in the league including successful efforts against Chelsea, Man City and indeed Arsenal in the reverse fixture.

The England hopeful’s strikes have received fewer plaudits lately because they have proved in vain. Austin scored in defeats to Burnley, and to Hull in his most recent outing.

Such consolations haven’t put points on the board for QPR, but they all count for our anytime goalscorer bets. He is a tasty best price of 11/4 here.
