Canaries In The Coal Mine

Norwich looked in big trouble even before the goals dried up. They play some attractive football but life back in the Championship beckons.

It’s 3rd against 20th for Friday night football and not surprisingly that leaves Leicester City as odds-on favourites. However, we can improve that price significantly by backing the away win plus under 2.5 goals in the match. We then find 15/4 with Boylesports.

This looks like the perfect fixture for the Foxes to get back on track but it could still be a grind. Jamie Vardy has suddenly gone seven matches without a goal. It happens. Similarly, James Maddison has run cold at the same time so it’s not hard to see where the problems lie.

Then again, the recent winless run has come against Chelsea, Wolves and Man City, so there are mitigating factors.

It’s harder to excuse Norwich’s 1 win in 14 league outings. Excluding two penalties, the Canaries haven’t scored since the 4th minute of their New Year’s Day game - a statistic which also supports our bet.
