Blast From Bolasie

The Crystal Palace star has had 18 attempts on goal in his last 4 games, striking bar, post and forcing great saves. His luck will surely change soon.

Yannick Bolasie has been attracting some rave reviews for his tricky wing play of late but the headlines should soon be coming for him actually finding the net. So far he has only struck once in 2014-15, but all the evidence suggests he’s a bargain at 9/2 to score anytime against inconsistent Stoke.

The Congo international averages 2.3 shots per match which is handy, but in his last four outings his threat level has really risen. He took 4 shots at White Hart Lane last week, drawing one fine save from Hugo Lloris, 5 shots against Villa, 5 against Swansea (including striking the bar) and 4 against Liverpool when he hit the post.

Cynics will say that he isn’t a great finisher but anybody who keeps striking the woodwork and drawing fine saves is really just being unlucky. The Potters have only kept one clean sheet on the road so perhaps Bolasie’s luck will change today at a pretty big price.
