Black Cats Ready To Add To Louis's Woes

Until United get accustomed to LVG's system and improve the squad, more bad days are likely.

The bookmakers, or at least many punters, still seem to be in some sense of denial about how far Manchester United have fallen given that Sunderland are still available at 4/1 (WilliamHill) to win at the Stadium of Light this afternoon.

Louis Van Gaal’s first match in charge of the Red Devils ended in disaster last weekend as Swansea deservedly left Old Trafford with the spoils. At the very least it’s going to take the Dutch master time to turns things around. He’s introduced a three-defender system that seemed to add confusion and it’s unlikely he will give up on that after one attempt. Things could get worse before they get better.

Sunderland’s only defeat in their last seven league outings came on the final day of last term in what was effectively a dead rubber. Apart from that, Gus Poyet’s boys are looking resurgent as late season victories at Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford proved conclusively.

The Black Cats should probably be nothing longer than 2/1 at this moment in time so this bet picks itself.
