Big Guns Fight For Credibility

The winner of this heavyweight tussle will ease the pressure on themselves while heaping it onto their opponents.

It’s a match between two of the most unpredictable but expensively assembled attacking sides in the league. Who knows what the outcome will be, other than, one would assume, goals.

Arsenal home league matches have averaged 3.2 goals per fixture so far and that figure rises if you include the Champions League; they drew 3-3 with Anderlecht recently after blowing a 3-0 advantage. The good news for the Gunners is that Alexis Sanchez is looking unplayable while Olivier Giroud has returned much earlier than expected from a broken leg.

Man United will carry a similar threat going forward with Wayne Rooney now back on top form while Robin Van Persie and Juan Mata traditionally perform well in this fixture. However, just like their hosts, the Red Devils have a dubious back line, now undermined further by a long injury list.

It all points to an explosive encounter with over 3.5 goals in the match looking like the play at best odds of 19/10 with Sportingbet.
