Arteta Must Do Better
After a promising end to 2019-20, it really isn't clicking at Arsenal. They are on the verge of record-breakingly bad returns for points and goals for this stage of a season.
We’re skipping the mid-afternoon crunch London derby on the basis of it being too close to call, with the bookies pricing it up about right. In the evening however, Wolves are undervalued to win to nil, at best odds of 5/1 with Betvictor.
No big team has disappointed me more than Arsenal this season, and that’s saying something. I thought Arteta was getting something going there, but until Aubameyang starts scoring again, they have real problems.
Shockingly, the Gunners rank 19th in the Premier League for shots attempted per game and they’re even down in 11th for shots conceded. That suggests they aren’t in a false position in the bottom half of the table.
Wolves haven’t been much better, but they tend to grow into seasons and will have less pressure on them than their hosts today. They could nick it, and all their victories have come with clean sheets so far.
