United's results have flattered them and that's before we take into account the easy schedule. Southampton will be a tougher test.
United are sitting pretty at the top of the table but their impressive results don’t tell the whole story. Befitting of an easy schedule, United have been adding polish to their games in garbage time. Nine of their sixteen goals have come after 80mins and when put under pressure by Stoke they were unable to secure three points.
Southampton offer a similair test; stout in defence and hard to beat they’ve only lost once this season and have conceded just four goals.
Fraser Forster has remembered he is a goalkeeper and is starting to save shots, whilst United’s 46% scoring rate is on the high side. The Saints look good value to get something out of the game at 6/5.
