3 'underdogs' who could all have great weekends.
Having already tipped Sunderland and Blackburn, and extolled the virtues of Pavel Pogrebnyak, it seemed reasonable to put it all together for a small wager on a lucrative accumulator. If we add the Russian striker’s side Fulham to win, along with the other two, we find the mouth-watering best odds of 39/1 with BetVictor for the treble.
Martin Jol’s side have stormed up to eighth in the league table after a fabulous run of three straight victories. There were also fabulous wins against Arsenal and Newcastle in January so the bigger teams clearly hold no fears for the Al-Fayed owned club. The three points picked up in the last away game at QPR will also have given the side belief that it can perform away from Craven Cottage.
In contrast, Villa are winless in five matches and have only accrued seven points from their last eight matches. The long-term injuries to Darren Bent and Richard Dunne are bound to cause major problems for Alex McLeish at both ends of the park.
