Steve Bruce has abandoned free flowing football for a more pragmatic approach; whilst Swansea are simply shot-shy away from home.
Having enjoyed an excellent 2013/14, Hull are suffering from ‘second season’ syndrome. In his efforts to create a more expansive football team, Steve Bruce has seen his side slip to 19th in the league.
Ditching Hatem Ben Arfa is perhaps symbolic of this failed strategy, so expect Hull to return to playing more conservative football.
In that respect Swansea are perhaps the perfect opponents.
