Persona Non Arfa

Steve Bruce has abandoned free flowing football for a more pragmatic approach; whilst Swansea are simply shot-shy away from home.

Having enjoyed an excellent 2013/14, Hull are suffering from ‘second season’ syndrome. In his efforts to create a more expansive football team, Steve Bruce has seen his side slip to 19th in the league.

Ditching Hatem Ben Arfa is perhaps symbolic of this failed strategy, so expect Hull to return to playing more conservative football.

In that respect Swansea are perhaps the perfect opponents.

Notwithstanding the good form of Wilfried Bony, the Swans have been unimaginative away from home. They average just 9.1 shots per game and have been out-shot in every away game this season.

Hull haven’t exactly been prolific at the KC Stadium either, averaging just 10.7 shots per game.

This all adds up to a low scoring affair. Either side could nick it but Hull need the result more and therefore at 8/1 (Bet365) they represent a good bet to win 1-0; with our money refunded if it finishes 0-0.
