West Ham have problems on and off the pitch and West Brom can capitalise with the usual Pulis scoreline.
After a terrific 2015/16 campaign everything is unravelling for West Ham. The move to the Olympic Stadium hasn’t been the roaring success everyone hoped, they’ve been knocked out of Europe and are struggling in the league.
In large part this is simply a return to the mean after they outperformed their underlying numbers last season but try explaining that to a team that lost 4-2 at home to Watford!
On the other hand, you know what you get with West Brom. A well drilled defence (6th best in shots conceded) and a limited attack that just about gets the job done. We’ve previously discussed that when Tony Pulis teams win, it is usually 1-0 (68% of his wins have been 1-0) and we could be in for more of the same.
A West Brom win looks the sensible play at 15/2 with Bet365 refunding our stake if the game finishes 0-0.
