Nailed On Draw

This fixture has finished with the spoils shared five times in a row.

Manchester City have suddenly found themselves on a winless run of five matches across all competitions and two main reasons for this standout.

Firstly, Yaya Toure has been in Africa and, seemingly, he is even more vital to the champions than anyone realised. The Blues won nine games in a row with the Ivorian in the side, he then left and they haven’t triumphed since.

Secondly, the goal machine that was Sergio Aguero has suddenly developed a glitch after injury with the Argentinian missing out in each of his last five outings.

Everything else is pretty much the same for Manuel Pellegrini.

The Britannia Stadium is not traditionally a good place to visit to get back on track. The Potters have lost just one of their last nine in all competitions (W6 D2) and won at the Etihad in August.

That said, we should expect some response from City on Wednesday night. They have still scored in 18 consecutive away games and only lost two of their last 25 on the road in the league.

The most likely result is a sixth consecutive draw in this fixture - a 14/5 shot.
