The long shot bet of Sheffield United to win the second leg of this semi-final but with both teams to score (15/2 Skybet) is an intriguing one, not least because it could result in either side progressing to Wembley.
The away goals rule, which strangely only applies after extra-time in this competition, means that Spurs could lose 2-1 on the night but still advance. However, if the Blades were to score one more then they would pull of a mighty shock; either way we could win a long shot wager.
The case for both teams finding the net and a potential upset or scare is surprisingly easy to make. The League One outfit have only lost three of their 21 cup outings under Nigel Clough while the Premier League side have conceded in 11 consecutive away games in all competitions.
Perhaps the biggest story of all will come from the likely continuation of Michel Vorm in the Londoners’ goal despite the former Swansea man’s costly blunder at the weekend. That saw Tottenham dumped out of the FA Cup and the pressure will really be on him at a vibrant Bramall Lane.
