Malaga v AC Milan

The Italian giants are in disarray while Malaga are the latest big deal in Spain.

The only reason that Malaga aren’t odds-on to win this encounter is the status of AC Milan as a footballing heavyweight. From a betting perspective this is always a good situation to find as form trumps reputation more often than not.

Let’s start with the hosts. Currently ahead of Real Madrid in La Liga, Malaga have so far dazzled in the Champions League with back-to-back 3-0 victories, first at home to Zenit and then, even more impressively, away to Anderlecht. It’s worth noting that Milan were held 0-0 at the San Siro by the same Belgian opponents.

Make no mistake about it, Massimiliano Allegri is a man fighting to stay in his job. The Rossoneri have lost a miserable five out of eight Serie A fixtures in 2012-13, including the last two.

Everything points to a home win and at best odds of 11/10 (Betfred) we don’t have to do anything clever with our money.
