19th Dec 2017 | League Cup

Quadruple Hopes On The Line

Man City laboured past Wolves on penalties and lost to Feyenoord in the Champions League. Signs that they lose their edge when it matters less.

Obviously backing against Man City always feels like a fool’s errand this season but the League Cup surely has to be the time to do it! At a best price of 13/2 (Bet365) on their own patch, Leicester must represent serious value against a weakened line-up.

The Premier League leaders needed penalties to overcome Wolves at the Etihad in the last round and that was with a pretty strong team. Even great players struggle to find the same levels of motivation for the 4th most important competition they enter.

The Foxes beat Liverpool in Round 2 and we didn’t get anything like the price on offer here. Claude Puel took Southampton to the final last season and with relegation fears well and truly eased Leicester can focus on claiming a major scalp here.
