Go back to February and you’ll find Jurgen Klopp telling the press that he effectively wished his Liverpool side hadn’t bothered with the League Cup last season.
He was speaking after the Reds lost a two-legged semi-final to Southampton with the boss openly envious of Chelsea’s early departure from the competition.
Make no mistake, Klopp would almost favour a loss on Tuesday night at Leicester and that makes the 2015-16 Premier League champions an unbelievable price at 16/5 to win in 90 minutes with Ladbrokes.
Doubtless both sides will rotate heavily but Craig Shakespeare can expect the likes of Okazaki, Slimani and Gray to relish a chance in the starting line-up.
