Blues Must Fear Britannia

Stoke have won 4 of their last 5 in all competitions while the league champions are in full blown crisis.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that Chelsea are incredibly vulnerable right now but the bookies seem intent to remain in a bubble of denial.

Stoke clearly shouldn’t be 3/1 (Betfred) at this moment in time when drawn at home to a side sat 15th in the Premier League table.

Admittedly the Potters are only 14th themselves, and slumped to defeat to Watford on Saturday, but their recent form is generally better than the Blues.

Mark Hughes’s men had previously won four on the bounce, conceding one solitary goal in the process. That’s considerably better than Mourinho’s three defeats in five, with only a home victory over Villa to briefly raise morale.

The champions haven’t won a fixture as difficult as this against eleven men - Arsenal were reduced to 9 - since August so an away victory would almost go down as a shock here.
