World Cup Flops Face Further Woes

Spain will have their work cut out on Thursday, away to a side who have won 5 of their last 6 matches.

The defending champions face a stiff examination of their credentials on Thursday evening as they head to fast-improving Slovakia for a Euro 2016 qualifier.

Spain endured a disastrous World Cup campaign which saw them quickly eliminated after crushing defeats to Netherlands and Chile this summer. Last month, they lost again in France with their aura of invincibility now long gone.

In contrast, Slovakia have now won five of their last six internationals, a run which included a shock victory in Ukraine last time out as they got their Euro 2016 campaign off to a flyer.

Now with home advantage against a fading force of world football, Slovakia look a bargain at best odds of 6/1 (Bet365) in the ‘draw no bet’ market; that means we get our money back if the spoils are shared.
