Italy v England - International Football Tips

Both teams are unbeaten since fiascos in Brazil and a share of the spoils would keep everyone happy.

After a dreadful World Cup campaign there is suddenly a mood of optimism around the England camp.

A 100% record in qualifying has restored some faith in the team but haven’t we been here before?

The truth with England is they qualify quite comfortably for major tournaments but as soon as they face anyone good they come unstuck.

Italy have travelled a similar path since a disappointing exit in Brazil. Antonio Conte’s team are unbeaten in their last seven matches but they’ve rarely looked convincing.

Throw in a raft of personnel changes on both sides and you have match that is very difficult to call.

Both teams have a long way to go before they can be mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Germany, Argentina and Colombia but a share of the spoils would keep the momentum going and probably suit both managers.
