Swedes Have Nordic Edge

Zlatan scored as many goals as Denmark managed as a team in qualifying.

In what many regard as the tie of the playoffs, it’s surprising to see Sweden aren’t shorter odds to beat their neighbours in their home leg. Yes they have a bad historical record in matches which matter with Denmark, but that hardly matters now.

The truth is that the Danes are very lucky to still have a shot at Euro 2016 having won only three games in qualifying, finishing behind traditional minnows Albania in Group I.

Morten Olsen’s boys only scored eight times in eight outings and not once in their final three matches.

The hosts have the only truly world class player on the pitch in Zlatan Ibrahimovic and he scored eight on his own in qualifying.

At best odds of 13/5, BetVictor offer Sweden to win to nil in the Friends Arena.
