Scotland v Czech Republic Tip

It's a momentous day for the Tartan Army and they arrive with a good recent record against these opponents.

Scotland return to major tournament football after 23 years, at Hampden Park, and if they don’t get stage fright they could secure a famous 1-0 win at best odds of 13/2 with Bet365.

That was the score when these sides clashed in the Nations League last October. Steve Clake’s men also won the return fixture 2-1. There should be no inferiority complex for the hosts.

Some people think the Czechs are dark horses for this tournament. They impressed in a World Cup qualifier against Belgium (1-1) and many of their players have impressed with Slavia Prague and know each other well.

But that’s not enough to make me think home advantage can’t sway a game of fine margins. The Tartan Army have lost just two of their last 16 matches, and those came days after they secured their place here.
