Poland v Slovakia Tip
Two teams dominated by their star men. Neither side is likely to go deep in the tournament but the format means a win here makes progress likely.
Slovakia feel like a good contender for nul points as it’s hard to see where even a draw is coming for them in Group E. Sweden, Spain and Poland all have a lot more quality.
First up they face the latter, who may provide the best opportunity for the Slovaks. Poland have underwhelmed both before and after swapping their coach at the start of 2021, but should still win here by 1 goal at best odds of 5/2 with Bet365.
Lewandowski remains a world class match winner but Slovakia, for all their mediocrity, have only lost to the Czech Republic by more than a goal in the last year. They can normally compete without particular goal threat. The over-reliance on Hamsik is becoming a problem as their talisman heads towards his mid-30s.
