Spain v England Tips: No Goalscorer

Spain’s disdain for friendlies is even greater than England’s and neither side have conceded in their last four matches.

Having enjoyed a 100% record during European Qualifying, Roy Hodgson has signed up for some marquee friendlies to test his team.

This all sounds good in theory but they are still friendlies and the motivation isn’t the same as a competitive fixture.

Last time these sides met, England prevailed by a solitary Darren Bent goal but it was a false dawn as the Spaniards coasted through the match trying to avoid injury.

There is a danger history repeats itself – minus the Darren Bent goal of course!

The Spanish team don’t care much for friendlies, they have lost four of their last eight and Friday’s match is being played at the 30,000 capacity Estadio José Rico Pérez in Alicante – not exactly the red carpet treatment.

Both teams will play under-strength XIs and with neither side having conceded in their last four matches a dull stalemate looks on the cards.

A no goalscorer bet at 13/2 looks the play and if you place £20 or more in single bets at minimum odds of 1/2 or greater before kick off on Spain v England, Paddy Power will give you a £10 in free bets to use in play on the match.
