Ings Can Only Get Better

Burnley's talisman has recently struck against Everton, Stoke (2) and Villa.

Being Newcastle you never know what will happen next. Seven games without a victory to start the season, swiftly followed by five wins on the trot, who knows if defeat at Upton Park will trigger the start of another alarming run.

What we can see is that Alan Pardew is faced with a punishing absentee list as he heads to Turf Moor on Tuesday. Keeper Tim Krul is out, along with captain Coloccini, influential midfielder Sissoko and several others. All this suggests Burnley could maintain their recent revival.

The home win is available at 9/5 but at the same price I would advise taking Danny Ings to score anytime instead with Ladbrokes. The 22-year-old is in great touch after claiming 4 goals in his last 5 top flight outings but most importantly this form looks broadly sustainable.

Last season’s 26-goal hero, Ings averages 3.1 shots per match so far in 2014-15 which puts him on a par with Rooney and Costa, players who would be much shorter prices.

1pt Anytime Goalscorer: Danny Ings 9/5 with Ladbrokes
