In Real Trouble
Liverpool may have won 3-2 against QPR but their abject defensive performance left no Liverpool fans in any doubt that the European champions could make Wednesday a painful night.
Liverpool may have a 100% record against Real Madrid but that will count for nothing when the two sides meet at Anfield for Gameweek 3 of the Champions League.
Forget the 3-2 victory, Brendan Rodgers saw his team outplayed by bottom of the table QPR on Sunday and he will be under no illusions as to what will happen if the performance level doesn’t improve exponentially against arguably the best team in the world.
The Reds’ defensive deficiencies have been there for all to see for a while and their next visitors have scored a remarkable 25 goals in five consecutive victories in La Liga. Real also notched up 5 in their opening Group B clash against Basel.
It could be a bit of a mauling and at best odds of 4/1 (Coral) we should take Madrid to win both halves on Merseyside.
