Chelsea To Leave It Late Again?

The Blues are suddenly winning a lot of games in the second half largely thanks to an array of options on the bench.

It’s so tempting to look at Hull’s impressive home record (W5 D3 L2), including victory over Liverpool and a 6-0 hammering of Fulham on their last time out at the KC Stadium, and take the 11/2 (Skybet) on offer for the Tigers to win here.

However, that would be to ignore the impressive momentum that Chelsea are building under Mourinho which has seen them take 13 points from a possible 15 in the past month. There have been three consecutive away clean sheets in a row (including FA Cup) as the Blues have slowly rediscovered the grittier edge associated with ‘the Special One’s first spell at the club.

That all said, it should be tough and I think we can do better than the straight 8/13 (PaddyPower) on offer for an away win. Instead we would back the match to be level at the break before the Blues take three points in the end. That’s a best price 7/2 shot with StanJames.

Chelsea have won their last two matches, away to Southampton and Derby, having been 0-0 at half-time. The impact of world-class substitutes could be telling again here and that’s why we’re backing this sequence to continue at decent odds.
