Greece v Ivory Coast: Gervinho To Score First

Priced on his unsuccessful stint at Arsenal rather than his more productive time at Roma. Already found the net twice in Brazil.

The first goalscorer market for Greece v Ivory Coast shows a large amount of Premier League bias.

Didier Drogba is favourite to open the scoring despite being an unlikely starter, whilst Yaya Toure is 8/1 despite looking half-fit and even less interested.

Arsenal flop Gervinho is priced in between at 7/1 (Paddy Power) - a big price considering he’s already scored twice during the World Cup.

The 27-year-old is a completely different player to the one that struggled in north London. He enjoyed a terrific campaign for Roma scoring nine times at a rate of 0.3 goals per 90 min.

With Paddy Power refunding losing bets if the game ends 0-0 (always likely when Greece are involved), Gervinho is a good price to score first at 7/1.
