Fulham have climbed to mid-table respectability under Kit Symons. They were rock bottom when he took over.
If you’re looking for an upset on 4th round weekend, and who isn’t, the Stadium of Light is a place worth considering. Fulham arrive as the 5/1 (Coral) underdogs and at that price they are well worth a flutter.
Kit Symons has the Cottagers playing some decent stuff since he took the helm and he can still call on some top flight attacking quality in the form of Bryan Ruiz and Hugo Rodallega while Ross McCormack bagged a hat-trick in the midweek victory over Forest. Reading were also defeated last Saturday.
Sunderland boss Gus Poyet will doubtless consider the FA Cup as a secondary concern to Premier League survival and he will therefore take no chances on Adam Johnson and Lee Cattermole who are both likely to miss out. Those are key men for the Black Cats who are short on confidence after five winless matches in the league (D1 L4).
