U's Been Framed

Cambridge's glorious cup run is coming to an end but there could be one last hurrah.

Despite meriting a hard-fought draw with Manchester United 10 days ago, Cambridge Utd are quoted at 40/1 (BetVictor) to pull off a shock that would even put Bradford’s triumph at Chelsea in the shade.

I’m not suggesting this will happen but equally there’s little point in backing the Red Devils at 1/11. Instead, it may be worth considering Man Utd to win but with both teams to score at 9/4 with WilliamHill.

The U’s are actually the second highest scorers in League Two and have only been shutout six out of 27 times at that level. Admittedly, this is Old Trafford, but the combination of plucky underdogs, a weakened home line-up and a dose of complacency could win us this bet.
