12th Mar 2016 | FA Cup

The Goodison, the bad and the ugly.

Everton have won just one of their last eight home league games and Martinez is under pressure.

Backing Everton to score at home but lose delivered us a 15/2 winner last Saturday and we could repeat the trick at 4/1 when Chelsea visit Goodison Park in the FA Cup.

The Toffees have somehow conspired to have the second best attacking record in the top flight - scoring 1.82 goals per game - while languishing in 12th in the table. It doesn’t take a Roberto Martinez biographer to work out the problem.

Chelsea have actually conceded as many Premier League goals as their hosts (39) but their overall improvement under Guus Hiddink is undeniable. They are undefeated in 15 domestic games since he took over with the away record looking particularly sharp under the Dutchman (W5 D2).

The Hiddink effect ended in FA Cup glory in 2009, with Everton defeated 2-1 in the final. Expect something similar here.
