Replay Beckons
Many will fancy the upset here and it's not out of the question. It looks like the most likely quarter final to go to a re-match.
It would seem absurd to think evens was a good price for Manchester United to beat West Ham but at the same time it might be oversimplifying matters to say the Londoners should win at 16/5 (BetVictor).
In reality the teams are closely matched and the draw and a replay at 13/5 (Bet365) looks most likely and appealing.
There’s no doubt that the Hammers are on superior form but United have still won four on the bounce at Old Trafford across all competitions.
Louis van Gaal can continue to cling onto his team’s defensive fortitude in front of their own fans. Just seven goals conceded in 14 home league games gives them a chance however insipid they can look down the other end.
