Reds To Settle A Score

Even a weakened Liverpool will have too much quality for what will probably be a weakened Everton. Allardyce is too pragmatic to risk much in the FA Cup, whatever the fans want.

Expect to see a host of reserves throughout FA Cup 3rd Round weekend but Friday night’s action still sees a Merseyside derby and Liverpool will be out for revenge.

The last game at Anfield between these rivals ended 1-1 but it was Jurgen Klopp and Reds’ fans who left with a major sense of injustice. Rooney equalised with a penalty which the Pool boss hotly contested and the truth is his side should have been out of sight by that stage.

The good news for Klopp is that he can rotate and still field a formidable side. The likes of Lallana, Ings and Oxlade-Chamberlain are desperate for playing time and even Firmino only played 18 minutes at Burnley.

Sam Allardyce has no such array of options and his first team have looked weary and ineffective in this week’s defeats to Bournemouth and Man Utd. The Toffees have only scored once in 4 games and the ‘Big Sam bounce’ seems to be fading.

LIverpool can make amends for early December and win this one with something to spare. Back them -1 goal in the handicap market at a best price of 13/10 with BetFair.
