Murray Makes Late Wembley Bow

Brighton's main goalscorer, even at 35, will play his first ever proper match at the National Stadium in this FA Cup semi-final. A substitute appearance away to Spurs doesn't really count.

The odds offered up for whoever plays Manchester City continue to bewilder. Traditionally, you’d expect Brighton to be somewhere around 10/1 at a neutral venue against the best team in the land - yet Bet365 offer up 25/1 that they cause an upset after 90 minutes.

You could justifiably take that bet but I’d recommend backing Glenn Murray for first goalscorer, each-way, at best odds of 16/1 with Bet365. If he scores at all, we still get paid out at 1/3rd odds.

The 35-year-old was effectively written off when he left Crystal Palace back in 2015 but four years later he’s still putting the ball in the net pretty routinely; he’s fired 23 Premier League goals since the start of last season.

For City, only Sterling and Aguero have scored more than Murray in 2018-19 yet he finds himself ranked only 12th most likely to break the deadlock with the bookies.
