Hudsucker Proxy

There are enough question marks over Manchester United at the moment to make a repeat upset at this stadium conceivable. The John Smith's Stadium could be rocking.

You’d expect Manchester United to respond to their defeat at Newcastle last time out but regardless Huddersfield must be value to beat them at home, again, at best odds of 9/1 with Bet365.

It finished 2-1 to the Terriers when the sides met at the John Smith’s Stadium in the Premier League and Wagner’s surprise package will relish another crack at the big boys. Their 4-1 victory over Bournemouth last weekend will also surely have a galvanising effect after a poor run.

Let’s consider the Jose Mourinho conundrum a little further. Alexis Sanchez arrived amidst much fanfare but United have lost twice already since the Chilean took the mega bucks and his role in the side is still a work-in-progress. Is his introduction inhibiting Pogba, and is it just a coincidence that Martial and Lingard are scoring less frequently at the moment?

Will Mourinho miss Herrara and Rashford who are both players who can step up in tricky spots? And will the Red Devils be distracted by the week ahead with a trip to Sevilla and a crunch game with Chelsea upcoming?

These questions may ultimately look foolish, perhaps even today, but there are enough doubts to make the big price on Huddersfield tempting.
