FA Cup Winners Tips: Tottenham

Conte didn't just deliver Chelsea the title, he also won them the FA Cup in 2018 before he was ousted. He has already made Tottenham tough to beat, and they should already be fancied as a cup team - at a good price.

The traditional time to pick an FA Cup winner is here, and this season it’s hard to look beyond one of the ‘big six.’ West Ham would rightly argue otherwise, but we’re dodging them given their European adventure will continue while they chase the top four. Moyes is working wonders, but he surely can’t get this squad challenging on three fronts.

Back to the classic candidates, where Manchester United would be last on my list at single figure odds. They are a mess currently, and lessons have been learnt from early season optimism.

The current top three in the Premier League are clearly capable, but at 14/1 Arsenal and Spurs should not be twice as likely (or more) to lift the trophy. I’m going for the Lilywhites purely based on the 3rd Round draw - Forest away is a tricky start for the Gunners.

At the same price, Tottenham entertain a Morecombe side who have conceded the most goals in League One. They might need favourable draws to reach Wembley, but then again under Antonio Conte they are a different proposition, even if the bookies are currently unmoved.

Harry Kane is starting to look like his old self, and as long as he stays fit with Son alongside, they will be a fearsome cup side under Conte. The Italian will demand reinforcements before the end of the transfer window, and he will surely see new faces arrive.

We shouldn’t wait for the 14/1 to inevitably hit single figures, and get onboard each-way now. Skybet will pay out at half odds if Spurs lose in the final.
