Blues Revival
Two sides who both have higher priorities but it's the Championship outfit who are improving while the hosts are slumping in the big time after a bright start.
After the 3rd round Birmingham boss Steve Cotterill said he played his strongest line-up because he didn’t want to lose the momentum gained from his side’s winning run. Although they have since gone loss-draw the performance was so strong in the 1-1 at Preston last time out he might apply the same logic here.
There’s no doubt that the Blues are much improved over their last 5 matches even if they remain second bottom of the Championship. The same cannot be said for Huddersfield who are now firmly embroiled in a relegation scrap of their own after damaging consecutive defeats to rivals West Ham (1-4) and Stoke (2-0).
I can’t imagine Wagner playing anything like his strongest team and Town don’t have the depth to justify odds-on favouritism here. Back Birmingham at best odds of 22/5 with BetVictor.
