Every Reason To Be Partizan
The odds reflect league reputation rather than the form guide which tells us that the Serbians are flying.
The expectation that Spanish sides will sweep all before them gives us odds of 3/1 (Betfred) that Partizan Belgrade will win at home to Athletic Bilbao on Thursday night.
But we should snap that price up considering what we’ve seen so far in Group L of the Europa League. The Serbian champions have a 100% record while Athletic slipped up in their first away game at AZ.
Partizan have actually won all four of their European home games this season when the qualifiers are included.
Compare that to the La Liga outfit who are winless on their travels in five attempts in 2015-16.
It all adds to a home victory looking far likelier than the bookmakers suggest.
