Saturday Euros Double: Wales & Croatia To Win

Two undervalued favourites can both reach the quarter finals on Saturday if they keep doing what they have been doing.

We’re throwing Saturday’s two evening games in the Euros together with a double on Wales and Croatia being offered up at 4.4/1 with Ladbrokes.

The Welsh have been little short of a revelation so far. They beat a reasonable Slovakia side 2-1, were unlucky to lose late against England before putting Russia to the sword 3-0 on Monday night.

Chris Coleman learnt that his side could defend in qualifying but now he can also see Bale and Ramsey hitting top form again.

The first of those points also applies to Northern Ireland, but unfortunately there is no comparable fire power. 17 attempts in their three group games was the worst of all 24 teams. That will be the difference here.

Croatia showed their true capabilities by defeating champions Spain on Tuesday night. They have since had an extra day of rest over their next Iberian opponents who scrambled through a weak looking section without achieving a single win.

Modric, Perisic and Rakitic manage to combine in a way which makes their team look cohesive while Portugal still look like a Ronaldo support act.

This is another case of reputation making the odds similar whereas tournament credentials suggest there should be a clear favourite here.
