Group D Betting: Czech Republic 0 Points

In one of the strongest sections, the Czech Republic will surely struggle having recently lost to South Korea and Scotland.

Although we have nothing against the Czech Republic - having already backed them at 10/1 to concede the most goals - it also appears to be well worth backing Pavel Vrba’s boys to leave Group D with 0 points at best odds of 8/1 with Boylesports.

Having already established that the 1996 finalists have a leaky defence, the other problem is that they face particularly high quality opposition.

Nobody gives them much hope against defending champions Spain and anybody who watched Sunday’s group opener would have to say the prospects against Croatia are equally poor.

If those games go to form then the final chance of avoiding a total blank will come against Turkey. Though less impressive than Croatia, Fatih Terim’s boys competed well in the first half and have the recent memory of winning 2-0 in Prague last October.

With the likes of Albania already shorter than 2/1 to end up pointless - having played quite well with 10 men - we should snap up the Czechs suffering that fate at more than four times the price.
