Austria v Hungary: Margin Of Victory Tip
Austria stormed through qualifying with 12 pts more than Hungary from arguably a tougher group. However, they rarely win well while the underdogs always compete.
Based on qualifying, Austria should romp to victory against their arch rivals. The word is out that Marcel Koller’s boys could make waves in Euro 2016 after collecting 28 points in their section, winning their final nine matches.
In contrast, Hungary are a contender for the weakest side at the tournament. They qualified third behind Northern Ireland and Romania with a goal difference of just +2 - the worst of any finalist.
Yet for all that, Hungary always seem to remain competitive. Their recent 2-0 loss in Germany was their only loss by more than one goal since 2013.
Equally, Austria haven’t done anything remotely special in friendlies. 2-1 victories over Malta and Albania were sandwiched between defeats to Switzerland, Turkey and Netherlands.
Therefore, we should back the favourites, but only to win by one goal at best odds of 23/10 with StanJames.
