Russia v Czech Republic: First Goalscorer Tip
One of the hottest properties in Russian football has been firing for club and country of late.
The likes of Pavlyuchenko, Arshavin and Pogrebnyak may grab the attention of British punters used to seeing them in the Premier League, but a better bet to break the deadlock against the Czechs is Aleksandr Kerzhakov.
The 29-year-old has been first goalscorer in two of Russia’s last three matches - against Uruguay and Italy. He also appears to be in the form of his life after grabbing 23 goals in 32 league games for Zenit St Petersburg in 2011-12.
Kerzhakov is a best price 7/1 (Ladbrokes) to open the scoring in Friday night’s Group A clash.
