Germany v Greece: Red Card Tip
The battle of the bailout will almost certainly see tensions running high in Gdansk.
It probably hasn’t escaped anyone’s notice but tonight’s Euro 2012 quarter-final is being billed as one of the most political football matches in years. Without getting too bogged down in the economic issues, suffice to say that Greece as a country feel pretty disenchanted with their perceived treatment from Germany, particularly in recent months.
Fernando Santos’s boys could hardly be more motivated for this clash and those gathered in Athens will be hoping for the shock result of the tournament. More likely, emotions will run too high and somebody will get themselves sent off. Greece have had the joint-most bookings in the tournament (9) and were the first nation reduced to 10 men as well.
