Denmark v Portugal: Anytime Goalscorer Tip
Has scored in all four matches he's played against these familiar foes. Paulo Bento must be sick of the sight of him.
Denmark have every right to consider themselves Portugal’s bogey team, and one man stands alone as tormentor-in-chief. Nicklas Bendtner has scored in each of his four previous matches against Portugal and never been on the losing side (3 wins, one draw).
The Arsenal striker, who spent most of 2011-12 on loan at Sunderland, found the net against Wednesday’s opponents twice in 2010 World Cup qualifying and most recently in the crucial qualifier for this tournament in October of last year.
Poised to make his 50th cap, Bendtner has a reputable strike rate for his country with 18 goals from the 49 appearances to date. At best odds of 7/2 (PaddyPower) to score anytime against Portugal, he looks like a steal.
