Denmark v Germany: Correct Score Tip

Lahm: Will want a clean sheet.

A great team for scoreline betting is an efficient one which is happy to see out low-scoring victories.

The most efficient team in the competition, Germany don’t need to do anything spectacular against Denmark on Sunday evening. A 1-0 victory for the Joachim Lowe machine looks good value at best odds of 7/1 with Bet365.

As things stand in Group B, Germany have done the hard graft by defeating Portugal and Netherlands so they will progress with a point or better in Lviv. It would be monumentally out of character for the 3-time European champions to take their eye off the ball and risk a shock elimination here.

Lowe’s men have won their last 12 competitive matches and scored in 18 outings on the spin. However, their tournament mentality up till now would suggest that they won’t be going for the jugular if they get their noses in front against the Scandinavians. The wins so far have been professional rather than spectacular.

We should also show Denmark the respect they deserve by suggesting they won’t get heavily beaten. Any team that can shut out the Dutch and then fightback, albeit in vain, from 2-0 down against Portugal is courageous and capable.

But Morten Olsen’s slim hopes have been hurt by the news that Dennis Rommedahl is out while Niki Zimling may also be sidelined. I suspect the Danes will be left anxiously monitoring the progress of the other match in Group B.
