The league leaders could be distracted by Tuesday's trip to Sevilla while Norwich have already drawn away to Liverpool, Everton and West Ham.

For most people it will be the home banker of the weekend, but the Premier League has a funny knack of not following the script. Norwich might just grab an unlikely point at the Etihad; the 13/1 on a 1-1 draw is actually pretty good.

The case for the unlikely has a few elements. Firstly, Man City could be complacent after a few one-sided encounters in their favour lately and with one eye on a tricky trip to Sevilla on Tuesday.

Last time Pellegrini’s boys were about to travel in Europe, they lost 4-1 at Spurs at the end of September. The Blues also conceded a hatful of chances at home to Newcastle and Palace recently, and sooner or later they will be punished.

Furthermore, Norwich City aren’t nearly as bad as recent results suggest. They picked up plucky away score draws at Anfield and Upton Park not so long ago and at Goodison Park in the cup during midweek.

The Canaries are also in the top six for shots attempted in 2015-16 and are unlucky to have conceded as many goals as they have - 43% of the shots on target against them have gone in.

These statistics suggest better times ahead at both ends of the pitch for the visitors, perhaps starting on Saturday.
