City’s Season Slides Away
Reputation is shaping the market because Man City’s away record is very similar to Bournemouth’s home record.
Leicester’s title rivals (bar Tottenham) are falling by the wayside and after predicting a slip-up for Arsenal, lets go the whole hog and end Man City’s faint title hopes too.
It is hard to pinpoint exactly what has gone wrong for City – it could be injuries or the imminent arrival of Pep Guardiola but something has gone awry.
City have lost four times in the league in their last six outings and a top-4 finish could be in danger. The problem has been their away form; they have taken 20 points from 14 games, very similar to Bournemouth’s home record of 19 points from 15 games.
The bookmakers have City around the even money mark but their record doesn’t warrant the quote. In a game where all three results look equally likely, the value is on the outsider of the three – a Bournemouth win at 11/4 with William Hill.
