The Saturday Acca
We get our price from backing Brighton to take advantage of Everton's away woes. Watford are improving and overdue while Preston just need to keep doing their thing in the Championship.
We’re backing two of the Premier League strugglers to record vital home wins today. In their favour, Brighton and Watford both face sides who traditionally travel poorly. Add Preston into the mix for a 12.8/1 treble with BetVictor.
Watford (h) to beat Bournemouth: (5/4)
Some will bristle at this one given Watford’s winless start but they are definitely improving and a win is just round the corner. They should have beaten Sheffield Utd but drew 0-0 and they were robbed in the 1-1 draw at Spurs last time out. Bournemouth have done better than usual on the road so far to be fair, but this is the sort of fixture they tend to lose under Howe.
Brighton (h) to beat Everton: (15/8)
I don’t have anything against Everton as it may seem, I just need convincing that their strong showing at Goodison last weekend can be replicated in hostile environments. The Toffees have only scored 1 goal in 4 outings on the road so far and that just isn’t up to scratch. Graham Potter has got his team playing good football and they got their reward last time at the Amex when they deservedly crushed Spurs 3-0. Home form might keep them up.
Preston (h) to beat Blackburn: (Evens)
This one is easier to make the case for with Preston ranking as the best home team in the Championship to date (W5 D2 L0). They are also the joint-highest scorers in the division so we should be happy with this price against a side sat 16th in the table. Blackburn are winless in 5 as they slide down the table towards dangerous territory.
